12.24.2015 Portland to Hong Kong

Well we are 7 hours into our flight to Tokyo. After 2 movies here I sit across from my beautiful wife which happens to be sleeping like a baby. Listening to Meg Myers album as thoughts run wild in my head. It's crazy to think that we are spending Christmas on a plane this year. Away from our family, friends, and animals. I'm so grateful we were upgraded to first class on this flight and the next. I couldn't imagine having to sit upright for 16 hours with the way my back has been. It has been great so far thanks to the reclining chairs & the few cans of Japanese beer. The muscle relaxers that I got from my doctor is still in my bag and I'm hoping to keep it there. Fingers crossed.

In a few hours we will be in Tokyo. From Tokyo we will immediately board a plane to Hong Kong where we will land at 9:30pm on Christmas night. Fun? I would say so. Hell, I'm doing it with my wife/my best friend. What more can I ask for? I'm just thankful to have the opportunity to be able to travel like this. Life is short. Live life to the fullest. Be thankful, love, laugh and always smile. It's contagious. Merry Christmas!
